What is Gitnerblog?
Well, it's a blog written by me, Jess Gitner. I am a relatively new resident of St. Louis, MO, where I work for a local startup. Before moving to the Midwest, I lived in Washington, DC for eight years. I worked as a radio producer for NPR's Morning Edition and as a web producer for NPR Music. I also produced and appeared as a guest panelist on the Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast. I graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Political Economy and American Musical Culture, though my parents wish I studied engineering.
Gitnerblog began as a travel blog while I was a General Course student at the London School of Economics. It has since evolved to become an outlet for my writing: mostly personal observations of life as I stumble blindly through adulthood.
My interests include pop culture, music, urban living, dogs, beer, LGBT media, and Scandinavia.
